Getting rich is a dream many people share, but few truly understand what it demands. For some, wealth appears to be a result of luck, inheritance, or being in the right place at the right time. But when you look deeper, you’ll discover a different story. The truth is, getting rich takes far more than a casual desire or wishful thinking. It takes total, absolute commitment. And that commitment must be backed by belief, sacrifice, focus, and relentless effort.

“Rich people are willing to do what poor people are not. The path to wealth is paved with discipline, focus, and relentless action.” – T. Harv Eker

Let’s start by getting one thing clear: wealth doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built with intention, strategy, and most importantly, an unshakable mindset. Rich people don’t just stumble into money—they make firm decisions, take consistent action, and stay the course even when the path gets tough. If you’re serious about becoming rich, you have to be honest with yourself about whether you’re ready for the level of dedication it requires.

The Power of Full Commitment

One of the biggest mistakes people make is wanting wealth without fully committing to it. They say they want to be rich, but their actions don’t match their words. They may work hard for a few weeks, then slack off. They start projects and don’t finish them. They talk about goals but don’t take steps toward them. In contrast, people who become wealthy make a total commitment. They decide that wealth is not just something they’d like—it’s something they must have.

This kind of commitment changes everything. It shapes your daily habits, influences who you spend time with, and determines how you spend your time and money. It pushes you to keep going when things get hard and gives you the strength to take risks when others hesitate. It’s not about being perfect or never making mistakes; it’s about refusing to give up no matter what.

When you’re fully committed, the universe starts to respond. It’s as if opportunities begin to show up, the right people enter your life, and ideas come to you that lead to breakthroughs. This isn’t magic; it’s simply the power of focused energy and belief in action. You begin to see possibilities that you were blind to before because now your mind is actively seeking solutions instead of excuses.

The Role of Sacrifice

The road to wealth is not paved with comfort. It often requires sacrificing time, energy, and even relationships—at least temporarily. You might need to wake up early while others sleep, work weekends while your friends relax, or reinvest your money when others are spending theirs. These sacrifices are not meant to punish you but to position you for greater rewards later.

Most people underestimate the amount of sacrifice it takes to create real wealth. They admire successful entrepreneurs, investors, or businesspeople but don’t see the years of struggle, rejection, and hard work behind the scenes. The truth is, many rich people have worked sixteen-hour days, skipped vacations, and risked their savings to build something meaningful. They were willing to put everything on the line because their commitment to success was greater than their fear of failure.

If you’re not willing to make sacrifices, you may want to reconsider your goal. Becoming wealthy doesn’t mean you’ll have to suffer forever, but you will need to go through a period of discomfort. That period is the test of your commitment. Are you willing to trade short-term pleasure for long-term gain? That’s the real question.

The Right Mindset

Wealth is not just about money—it’s about how you think. Your mindset is the foundation of your financial success. If you think like a poor person, even if you get money, you’ll eventually lose it. But if you think like a wealthy person, you’ll find a way to earn and keep money, even if you start with nothing.

So, what does a rich mindset look like? First, it’s built on abundance, not scarcity. Rich-minded individuals believe there’s enough wealth in the world for everyone. They don’t see success as limited or feel threatened by others’ achievements. Instead, they get inspired. They understand that wealth is created through value, not taken from others.

Second, a rich mindset focuses on opportunity, not obstacles. Where others see problems, wealthy people see chances to solve them—and profit from the solution. They’re not afraid to fail because they see failure as part of learning. This mental strength is what allows them to keep moving forward when others quit.

And third, a rich mindset embraces growth. Rich people invest in themselves continuously. They read books, attend seminars, find mentors, and take courses. They know that the best investment they can make is in their own knowledge and skills. If you want to be rich, start by upgrading your mindset.

Belief and Deservedness

Many people fail to get rich simply because they don’t believe they can. Deep down, they feel unworthy. They’ve been conditioned to think that money is bad or that they don’t deserve more than a modest living. These beliefs are dangerous because they limit what you’re willing to try. If you don’t believe you can be rich, you won’t take the necessary actions to make it happen.

Belief is powerful. You have to believe in your heart that wealth is possible for you—not just for others. You have to believe that you have something valuable to offer the world, and that in return, you can and should be richly rewarded. This isn’t arrogance; it’s confidence. It’s knowing your worth and trusting that with the right effort, the rewards will come.

Start paying attention to your inner dialogue. Do you say things like “I’m not good with money” or “People like me never get rich”? If so, challenge those thoughts. Replace them with affirmations like “I am capable of creating wealth” or “I deserve financial success.” Over time, these new beliefs will take root and guide your behaviour.

Doing Whatever It Takes

The phrase “whatever it takes” is often misunderstood. It doesn’t mean acting unethically or harming others. It means being willing to do the hard things that others won’t. It means working long hours, facing rejection, solving tough problems, and staying persistent even when you feel discouraged.

Rich people are often more relentless than talented. They aren’t always the smartest or most creative—but they’re the most committed. They stick with their goals through failure, embarrassment, and fear. They understand that success isn’t just about ideas; it’s about execution. Are you willing to knock on 100 doors before one opens? Are you willing to launch a business and see it fail, then try again?

This level of persistence is rare, which is why wealth is rare. Most people quit too soon. They give up after the first “no,” the first loss, or the first obstacle. But those who succeed are the ones who keep going. They don’t stop because it’s hard. In fact, they expect it to be hard—and that’s why they succeed.

Wealth Is a Journey

Becoming rich is not an overnight event. It’s a journey that takes time, patience, and resilience. There will be setbacks. There will be moments when you doubt yourself. There will be times when it seems like nothing is working. But if you stay committed, you’ll continue to grow and get closer to your goals.

The path is not always straight. Sometimes, you’ll need to pivot, try new strategies, or take on different roles. But the core principle remains the same: keep moving forward. Learn from your mistakes. Celebrate small wins. And always remember why you started.

Wealth is built step by step, day by day. It’s in the habits you form, the people you learn from, and the risks you take. It’s in the hours you spend mastering your craft and the courage you show when others doubt you.

Final Thoughts

So, what does it really take to get rich? It takes full, total, non-negotiable commitment. It takes believing in yourself, developing a growth-oriented mindset, and being willing to make sacrifices. It takes showing up every day, doing the work, and staying the course no matter how hard it gets.

You don’t have to be born into money. You don’t need a fancy degree. You don’t even need a brilliant idea at the start. But you do need commitment. That’s the foundation of wealth. Everything else can be learned or acquired along the way.

The question is: Are you ready to commit? Are you prepared to pay the price, make the sacrifices, and do whatever it takes—legally, morally, and ethically—to create wealth?

If your answer is yes, then you’ve already taken the first and most important step. Now, it’s time to act—and never look back.

Most people live their entire lives without truly understanding how their minds work or the immense power they hold within. Fewer than two percent of people can confidently answer questions like: What drives my thoughts? Why do I feel resistance to my own goals? You’ve likely experienced moments when you wanted to take a bold step—perhaps starting a new business or making a life-changing decision—only to hear an inner voice warning you of failure. That voice often justifies its fears by recalling countless stories of others’ setbacks—family members, friends, society, even distant headlines. It’s as if your mind maintains a detailed archive of every failure around you, replaying them to keep you from moving forward. But what if this inner voice could be understood, reprogrammed, and even turned into your greatest ally? Imagine what would be possible if both your conscious intentions and subconscious patterns worked together instead of pulling in opposite directions. This collection, Mindful Shots, brings together some of the most insightful writings on mindfulness from Fastlane Freedom. Each piece explores practical and scientific perspectives on how the mind shapes our choices, influences our health, and even participates in physical healing. Through research-backed insights and timeless wisdom, this book will help you see that the mind isn’t just a passive observer—it’s an active force capable of changing your reality. By learning how to quiet the noise, shift your mental inputs, and harness your inner voice, you’ll gain a clearer path to personal growth, emotional balance, and a deeper understanding of what mindful living truly means.
