Basically, there are two functions of our minds, the nomenclature generally used to distinguish as follows: The objective and subjective mind, the conscious and subconscious mind, the waking and sleeping mind, the surface self and the deep self, the voluntary mind and the involuntary mind.
There are two levels of your mind – the conscious or rational level, and the subconscious or irrational level. You think with your conscious mind, and whatever you habitually think sinks down into your subconscious mind, which creates according to the nature of your thoughts.
Your subconscious mind is the seat of your emotions and is the creative mind. If you think good, good will follow, if you think evil, evil will follow. This is the way your mind works.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Man is what he thinks all day long.”
The reason there is so much chaos and misery in the world is that people do not understand the interaction of their conscious and subconscious minds. As in heaven (your own mind), so on earth (in your body and environment). This is the great law of life.
“The kinetic action of the subconscious mind continues through your sleep time period. Hence, give the subconscious mind something good to work on as you drop off into slumber.” Over ninety percent of your mental life is subconscious, so any person who fails to make use of this marvelous power lives within very narrow limits.
Mark Twain confided to the world on many occasions that he never worked in his life. All his humor and all his great writings were due to the fact that he tapped the inexhaustible reservoir of his subconscious mind.
A rather simple way of looking at the mental and physical interaction is to realize that your conscious mind grasps an idea, which induces a corresponding vibration in your voluntary system of nerves. This in turn causes a similar current to be generated in your involuntary system of nerves, thus handing the idea over to your subconscious mind, which is the creative medium.
:Fact:
“Scientists inform us that you build a new body every eleven months; so you are really only eleven months old from a physical standpoint. If you build defects back into your body by thoughts of fear, anger, jealousy, and ill will, you have no one to blame but yourself.”
Subconscious Mind Facts and Power
You have within you a hidden power… a power so remarkable that it can literally transform your life once you learn how to properly use it. That power is your subconscious mind (SCM).
Your SCM can help you achieve goals, eliminate bad habits and replace them with good ones, improve your self-image, be more creative, become a faster learner, and so much more. When you learn how to properly utilize the power of your subconscious mind, you can experience more happiness and joy, more success, more financial abundance, better health, and stronger relationships than you ever imagined possible.
Whereas the conscious mind is that portion of your mind that you’re aware of, the portion of your mind that you are unaware of is called your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is on duty 24 hours a day, and it can handle an unlimited number of functions at the same time.
It’s like a computer running in the background of your mind, constantly controlling your involuntary functions, emotions and habits. Whether you are wide awake or sound asleep, your subconscious mind is continually at work controlling all the vital functions of your body, without the help of your conscious mind.
SCM is constantly communicating with every cell in your body, receiving input from those cells, and sending instructions to them. The reason your subconscious mind learned to do those things is that you did them repetitively through your conscious mind. Repetition is one of the keys to programming the SCM. Just like repetition, emotion is also one of the keys for reprogramming the SCM.
The conscious mind has limited memory. But that’s not the case with the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind has virtually unlimited memory. In fact, everything you have experienced in your life (from the moment you were born) is present in the memory bank of your SCM… including every sight you have ever seen, every sound you have ever heard, and every emotion you have ever experienced. They are all stored in your SCM.
Beliefs in Subconscious Mind
The beliefs about yourself that you hold deep in your SCM have a tremendous effect on the reality you experience in your life. If you hold negative beliefs about yourself at the subconscious level, you will tend to experience negative realities in your life. If you hold positive beliefs about yourself, you will tend to experience positive realities in your life. Your reality will ultimately match the subconscious image you have of yourself.
The subconscious self-image you have of yourself determines your reality. So if you’re not happy with your reality today, you need to change your subconscious self-image.
“The greatest revolution in our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitude of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.”- William James
William James, the father of American psychology, stressed the fact that the SCM will bring to pass any picture held in the mind and backed by faith.
Jesus also said, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Notice that we are instructed to believe we have already received what we ask for, even before it’s physically present in our lives. This is the ultimate expression of faith.
By consciously filtering money scarcity thoughts and replacing them with money abundance thoughts we can very well improve our financial life. This will happen once your financial/money abundance thoughts sink in SCM as Indicated in the above image.
Our conscious mind acts as a Gardener and our subconscious mind as a Garden. Gardener ensure what should enter and what should not enter in the Garden. With this, we can avoid entry of limiting & false beliefs into our subconscious mind.
