Electricity will do our work, provided we adapt ourselves to its nature; but it may also snuff out life if it is applied for that purpose. The imagination cannot conceive any good that may not be converted to destructive ends. Food is necessary for the maintenance of life, and it is good when properly used. But the wrong use of food, or too much food, will do as much harm as will the most potent poison.
