  • Real-life Success Story (By Dale Carnegie)

Do you know why spending time on your own is so much important to become successful? Unless you do it, you will not be able to judge the direction of your life.

Most successful persons always have such routines. They spare time with themselves every day without a break. I personally started this in Aug 2018. In that month only I finished one of the outstanding book titled ‘The Miracle Morning’ by Hal Elrod. This book provides guidance on how to spend time with yourself.  Till today I am following this routine, it has given me a high level of confidence & a focused approach towards my life.

This routine has a short form as S.A.V.E.R.S.

S = Silence

A=Affirmation

V=Visualization

E= Exercise

R= Reading

S=Scribing (writing)

The beauty of the above is it can be done in 10 minutes or you can take one or two hours for that. But one thing is for sure, if you start doing it, you will love to continue this without taking a break. Even on Sunday or Holiday, you would like to spend more time on this.

Deciding Time Slot

Just to start with, we shall understand this concept in brief. The first and foremost point to start SAVERS is deciding the time slot, at what time you want to spare with yourself.

Generally, the best suitable time is morning time, but you can do that at any other time as well. I personally suggest you to do this in the morning. The reason being is let’s assume you decided afternoon time, you will be at your workplace. So there are chances that you will get disturbance in-between.

If you decided for the evening, then think of your family members. They would like to spare time with you in the evening.

So the best suitable time is morning time, just wake up 45-60 minutes early than your existing routine time.

S = Silence

Start your day with calmness by either Meditation, breathing, prayer. You can decide any option to calm down your mind and block the chatterbox. It’s not easy as chatterbox keep on chatting with you. It reminds you of all the activities of the past, present, and future. Your mind will keep on roaming around these things.

So by daily practice, you shall be able to control your chatterbox. After some time it will happen that your chatterbox is at all doing chat but it’s only related to your life’s goal at this time.

A=Affirmation

You need to have your affirmation. Affirmation is basically your written goals. This includes your short-term as well as long-term goals. As per Brian Tracy ‘only 3% of adults have clear, written, specific, measurable, time-bounded goals, and by every statistic, they accomplish ten times as much as people with no goals at all.’

All the sentences in your affirmation must be in Present Tense (No past & No Future). These affirmations must have only positive words. Even for positive intentions, you should not use negative words. For example, If you are going through medical treatment for any particular health issue. Then you should not include that health issue in your health-related affirmation. You can simply say, ‘I am fit and healthy instead of ‘I am recovering from that particular health issue.’

Generally, affirmation revolves around many dimensions of your life, it may include personal, professional, family, relationship, social, financial aspects.

V=Visualization

Whatever you have written in your affirmation, you need to visualize it as vividly as you can with all the related feelings. Your subconscious power is going to work on your affirmations and this power is purely governed by your feelings and thoughts.

If you are having some financial goal, visualize yourself in that desired financial condition now. Feel all the associated factors like, bank balance in your accounts, all the assets you have acquired, your investments giving good returns, your business is doing well, your progress in your professional career is outstanding.

If you are a student, then you can visualize like you have passed the exam with very good marks, your teachers, friends are congratulating you, asking for a party on your success. You get the job in one of your dream companies, or you have started your own business immediately after your study.

E= Exercise

You need to do exercise as this increases blood circulation in the brain by increasing oxygen levels. The best time is morning as in the environment we get the maximum level of oxygen during that time. This can be yoga or any other exercise

R= Reading

You can read one paragraph or one page to start with. Slowly increase that to 5-10 pages in a day. Decide your interest area of article or books. After a few months, you will feel the power of this, as your knowledge will dramatically increase in that area.

Most of us stop reading after college that means we stop learning new things, new concepts, new thoughts. Can we become successful after 20-30 years with that old college education? Some of you may argue that we are learning with our experience, I agree that is also one way, and most of the time that is the development of your own thought process. What if, you are already having a self-limiting thought process about any particular aspect of life and already suffering in that. Money management can be that area, many of us think that we are good at that, but your current financial condition is the reflection of that in a true sense.

S= Scribing

You can express your thoughts by scribing (writing). If you continue this, after some time, you will find good improvement in your thought and overall towards your life.

Now if you want to follow SAVERS or any other method, it’s up to you. But the whole idea is to spend time with yourself for analysing the current condition of your life, then make an improvement plan to achieve desired goals.

Real-life Success Story (By Dale Carnegie)

The president of an important Wall Street bank once described, in a talk before one of Dale Carnegie’s classes, a highly efficient system he used for self-improvement. This man had little formal schooling, yet he had become one of the most important financiers in America, and he confessed that he owed most of his success to the constant application of his homemade system. This is what that president actually followed at home (in his own words).

“For years I have kept an engagement book showing all the appointments I had during the day. My family never made any plans for me on Saturday night, for the family knew that I devoted a part of each Saturday evening to the illuminating process of self-examination and review, and appraisal. After dinner, I went off by myself, opened my engagement book, and thought overall about the interviews, discussions, and meetings that had taken place during the week.

I asked myself: ‘What mistakes did I make that time?’

‘What did I do that was right – and in what way could I have improved my performance?’

‘What lessons can I learn from that experience?’ “I often found that this weekly review made me very unhappy. I was frequently astonished at my own blunders. Of course, as the years passed, these blunders became less frequent. Sometimes I was inclined to pat myself on the back a little after one of these sessions. This system of self-analysis, self-education, which continued year after year, did more for me than any other thing I have ever attempted. “It helped me improve my ability to make decisions – and it aided me enormously in all my contacts with people. I cannot recommend it too highly.”

“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.” —Andrew Carnegie

Most people live their entire lives without truly understanding how their minds work or the immense power they hold within. Fewer than two percent of people can confidently answer questions like: What drives my thoughts? Why do I feel resistance to my own goals? You’ve likely experienced moments when you wanted to take a bold step—perhaps starting a new business or making a life-changing decision—only to hear an inner voice warning you of failure. That voice often justifies its fears by recalling countless stories of others’ setbacks—family members, friends, society, even distant headlines. It’s as if your mind maintains a detailed archive of every failure around you, replaying them to keep you from moving forward. But what if this inner voice could be understood, reprogrammed, and even turned into your greatest ally? Imagine what would be possible if both your conscious intentions and subconscious patterns worked together instead of pulling in opposite directions. This collection, Mindful Shots, brings together some of the most insightful writings on mindfulness from Fastlane Freedom. Each piece explores practical and scientific perspectives on how the mind shapes our choices, influences our health, and even participates in physical healing. Through research-backed insights and timeless wisdom, this book will help you see that the mind isn’t just a passive observer—it’s an active force capable of changing your reality. By learning how to quiet the noise, shift your mental inputs, and harness your inner voice, you’ll gain a clearer path to personal growth, emotional balance, and a deeper understanding of what mindful living truly means.

Parenting is a journey—one of the most rewarding, challenging, and transformative experiences life has to offer. But it’s not a path we are meant to walk alone. Essential Parenting was born out of a deep desire to support and empower parents at every stage of their journey, from the early days of pregnancy to the complex teenage years. Drawing insights from the Fastlane Freedom platform, this book brings together wisdom, mindfulness, and practical strategies to help you raise confident, emotionally strong, and value-driven children. At Fastlane Freedom, we believe that conscious parenting begins with self-awareness. Children absorb more from our behaviour than our words. It’s in our everyday actions—our calm during chaos, our patience in moments of frustration, our consistency in values—that they find their foundation. Parenting is not about being perfect; it’s about being present, intentional, and compassionate.
